They were intended for people who were unable to make the difficult and dangerous journey to the Middle East.

The fifteen Stations of the Cross at St John’s have been designed to tell people today the story of the events at the heart of Christianity. The artist Iain McKillop has ensured that they are suitable for worship and relate sympathetically and well to their situation in a Victorian gothic building. They were dedicated by the then Bishop of Dunwich, Rt Revd Clive Young, during a special service at 11am on the feast of Candlemas, Saturday 2 February 2008.
