Mary, Joseph and Jesus are shown in the left-hand \u2018light\u2019, while the three kings crowd around, holding their gifts. The star that the kings have followed can be seen in the upper left-hand lancet. This story is taken from St Matthew\u2019s Gospel, and is also sometimes described as the \u2018Adoration of the Magi\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The window was designed by C. E. Kempe, one of the most famous, and most prolific, of Victorian stained-glass manufacturers and a close associate of William Morris. The window displays Kempe\u2019s signature emblem, a wheatsheaf. It was installed in memory of <a href=\"https:\/\/stjohnsburystedmunds.co.uk\/index.php\/biographies\/lt-col-arthur-john-watson\/\">Lieut. Col.
