Canon Gregory Webb (1955-2015) was appointed priest-in-charge of All Saints, Bury St Edmunds, in 1994, and in 2002, when All Saints joined with St John’s and St George’s, he became Team Rector of the new group of churches. In 2008 he moved to Sudbury as priest-in-charge of St Gregory’s with St Peter and Chilton, serving there until his death at the age of 60 in 2015. He was made an honorary canon of St Edmundsbury Cathedral in 2007, and from 2013 was rural dean of Sudbury. He was viewed as a much-loved priest who was deeply rooted in the local community.
