Revd Michael Edwyn Goymour (1929-2012) served as a curate at St John’s under Fr Southwell from 1953-56. Following study at Selwyn College, Cambridge, he took a Bachelor of Divinity at McGill University, Montreal, and also studied at Montreal Diocesan Theological College and Wells Theological College. He was ordained deacon in 1953 and priested the following year. After leaving St John’s he served a further curacy at St Bartholomew’s Ipswich (1956-60), where Fr Clement Ullathorne was the Vicar, before becoming Rector of Gamlingay, Cambridgeshire. From 1968-80 he was an assistant master at Peterborough College Grammar School for Girls. He retired in 1992.
