The Jubilee Window of 1903, situated in the West Tower, shows Christ as the Good Shepherd, an image taken from the Gospel of St John, in which Christ says ‘I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep’ (John 10:11) The prevalence of scenes from St John’s Gospel in the windows of the church is, no doubt, a reference to its dedication.

The 1891 Jubilee was celebrated with ‘a series of services, entertainments, &c.’ in order to raise money for new hot water pipes – installed for £120 and used for the first time on Christmas Day.
