Helen McIldowie-Daltrey, now Helen McIldowie-Jenkins, is a professional British artist and iconographer based in West London. She has received commissions for her work from numerous churches and organisations in the UK, the USA and Australia. She specialises in composing ‘new’ and original icons to meet the artistic needs of today’s church in terms of devotional art. McIldowie-Jenkins has qualifications in Fine Art, Ceramics and Art History, and for her MA dissertation investigated an unusual form of 13th-century Italian crucifixion iconography. She has a Roman Catholic background and a Secular Franciscan (OFS) formation.
