Holy Orders are ordained ministries, such as those of Bishop, Priest or Deacon. Bishops have a position of authority and oversight, sharing their pastoral ministry with the Priests of their diocese. Deacons have a ministry of service, and this is important for all those in Holy Orders. Generally, in the Church of England, ordained people serve as Deacon for a year before being ordained as Priest.
